PHOENIX, Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- AG Communication Systems, a subsidiary of
Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU), and Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories,
an independent wholly owned subsidiary of Alcatel (NYSE: ALA), today announced
an agreement to jointly market advanced network-based application services for
central office contact centers.
Genesys currently supplies AG Communication Systems with call routing and
computer telephony integration software components for its ClientCare(TM) Call
Center DE product. As part of this new agreement, Genesys now will represent
the ClientCare product to its call center customers, also.
"Genesys is a company focused on the specific needs of call center owners,
while we are switching and transport experts," said Seth Swerdlow, vice
president of channel development at AG Communication Systems. "Together, we
allow enterprises to take full control of all aspects of the call center
operations via the network, reducing costs while improving efficiency and
customer service."
"Genesys is at the heart of network-based contact center solutions, and we
are excited to extend the market reach of ClientCare to our customers," said
Laurent Philonenko, chief technology officer at Genesys. "As contact center
services play an increasingly important role in customer relationship
management, AG Communication Systems and Genesys will lead the charge in
delivering these advanced solutions over the network."
ClientCare is switch-independent and enables telecommunications service
providers to deliver to their business customers the most advanced
network-based call center solutions available today. With ClientCare,
enterprise customers get inbound call handling and routing that can be blended
with sophisticated outbound campaigns and a comprehensive Internet Suite of
services. The Internet Suite gives call center agents the ability to
simultaneously handle voice, e-mail, fax, chat, call-back and call-through
queries and to provide the same level of customer support to e-commerce
customers as traditional customers.
