Solectron Corporation (NYSE: SLR), the world's leading provider of electronics
manufacturing and supply-chain management services, today said its board of
directors has elected seven executives to officer positions, and appointed its
eight current officers as executive vice presidents.

continuously strengthen our leadership team as the needs and scope of our
business continue to grow," said Koichi Nishimura, Solectron chairman,
president and chief executive officer. "These individuals have demonstrated
superb leadership and management skills during their careers at Solectron."
Solectron named seven new company officers:
-- William E. Mitchell has been promoted to executive vice president and
president, Solectron Global Services. As president of Solectron Global
Services, Mitchell provides strategic direction, day-to-day leadership
and new business development for the company's after-sales service
business unit. His previous position was corporate vice president and
president, Solectron Global Services.
-- George W. Moore has been promoted to executive vice president and
president, Solectron Systems Solutions. In his new role, Moore is
responsible for the strategic implementation and management of
Solectron's systems-solutions capabilities worldwide. His previous
position was corporate vice president and president, Solectron
Americas.
-- Massued Behrouzi has been promoted to senior vice president and
president, Solectron North America. In his new role, Behrouzi is
responsible for all Solectron manufacturing operations in the United
States, Canada and Puerto Rico. His previous position was corporate
vice president and president, Solectron Americas Western Region.
-- Philip Fok has been promoted to senior vice president and chief
administrative officer (CAO). As CAO, Fok is responsible for
Solectron's corporate communications, government and community affairs,
corporate facilities, corporate quality and business transformation
organizations. His previous position was vice president, corporate
administration.
-- Alejandro Gomez-Montoy has been promoted to senior vice president and
president, Solectron Latin America. Gomez-Montoy continues to have
responsibility for all Solectron manufacturing operations in Mexico and
Brazil. His previous position was corporate vice president and
president, Solectron Latin America.
-- Sen-Yuan (Sandy) Ro has been promoted to senior vice president and
general manager, Solectron Systems Solutions. In his new position, Ro
works with George W. Moore to manage and deploy Solectron's
systems-solutions offerings worldwide. His previous position was
corporate vice president and general manager, Solectron California.
-- Joe Tang has been promoted to senior vice president and managing
director, Solectron Asia/Pacific. In his new role, Tang is responsible
for all Solectron manufacturing operations in the Asia/Pacific region.
His previous position was corporate vice president and managing
director, Solectron Southeast Asia.
Solectron appointed its eight existing company officers as executive vice
presidents:
-- Kevin Burns has been named executive vice president and chief materials
officer (CMO). As CMO, Burns is responsible for Solectron's global
materials management activities. His previous position was senior vice
president and CMO.
-- David Kynaston has been named executive vice president and president,
Solectron Europe. As president, Solectron Europe, Kynaston directs the
development, growth and strategic deployment of Solectron's operations
in Europe. His previous position was senior vice president and
president, Solectron Europe.
-- Chester Lin Chien has been named executive vice president and
president, Solectron Asia/Pacific. As president, Solectron
Asia/Pacific, Lin Chien is responsible for the direction and management
of Solectron's operations in that region. His previous position was
senior vice president and president, Solectron Asia/Pacific.
-- Kiran Patel has been named executive vice president and chief financial
officer (CFO). As CFO, Patel directs Solectron's investor relations,
legal and finance operations. His previous position was senior vice
president and CFO.
-- Daniel Perez has been named executive vice president, worldwide account
management and marketing. As executive vice president, worldwide
account management and marketing, Perez is responsible for Solectron's
demand creation processes, including strategic planning, marketing and
market research functions. His previous position was senior vice
president, worldwide account management and marketing.
-- Ajay Shah has been named executive vice president and president,
Technology Solutions. As president, Technology Solutions, Shah provides
overall strategic management and direction for the business unit. His
previous position was senior vice president and president, Technology
Solutions.
-- Susan S. Wang has been named executive vice president, corporate
development. As executive vice president, corporate development, Wang
is responsible for Solectron's long-range planning process and new
business development efforts. Her previous position was senior vice
president, corporate development. Wang is also Solectron's corporate
secretary.
-- Saeed Zohouri has been named executive vice president and chief
operating officer (COO). As COO, Zohouri is responsible for all
operations in Solectron's Global Manufacturing business unit. His
previous position was senior vice president and COO.
The company also announced the retirement of Ken Tsai, senior vice
president and co-president, Asia/Pacific Region. Tsai will continue his
involvement at Solectron as a senior executive adviser to the chief operating
officer.
