Tech Tuesday, California REALTOR(R) EXPO 2003 in San Diego Sept. 30 - Oct 2; 2004 C.A.R. Housing Market Forecast Set for Oct. 2

    SAN DIEGO, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 7,000 REALTORS(R) are
expected to attend California REALTOR(R) EXPO 2003
(http://www.realtorexpo.org) scheduled for Sept. 30 - Oct. 2 at the San Diego
Convention Center.  The event is the state's largest real estate trade show,
drawing thousands of California's key franchise execs, top producers, and
movers and shakers for educational, networking and professional development
opportunities.  In addition, hundreds of top industry vendors and service
providers will showcase their latest products and information in nearly
300 booths in the Exhibit Hall.  C.A.R. also will release its 2003 Use of
Technology Survey on Sept. 30 and its 2003 Top Producer Survey on Oct. 1, as
well the Association's highly anticipated Housing Market Forecast for 2004.
    Highlights of the California REALTOR(R) EXPO 2003 include:

     Tuesday, Sept. 30
     -- Tech Tuesday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., ticketed event with seminars and
        informative how-to sessions featuring the latest technology for real
        estate practitioners, hands-on computer training, digital imaging
        workshops and more.  "Technology That Works & Builds REALTORS(R)'
        Business" General Session, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., moderated by C.A.R.
        Executive Vice President Joel Singer.
     Wednesday, Oct. 1
     -- EXPO Opening Luncheon, 12 noon - 1:30 p.m., ticketed event with artist
        and motivational speaker Erik Wahl.
     -- "Real Estate and the Economy" Economic Exerts Panel, 2 p.m. -
        3:30 p.m., moderated by C.A.R. Vice President and Chief Economist
        Leslie Appleton-Young, featuring Richard K. Green, professor of
        business and Wangard Faculty Scholar at the University of
        Wisconsin-Madison School of Business and chair of the Dept. of Urban
        Economics and Real Estate; John Karevoll, a data-mining consultant for
        La Jolla-based DataQuick Information Systems; Jack Kyser, senior vice
        president and chief economist for the Los Angeles County Economic
        Development Corp.; and Mark Schniepp, Ph.D., senior economist to State
        Controller Steve Westly.

     -- 2004 Housing Market Forecast Luncheon, 12 noon - 1:30 p.m.; ticketed
        event; during which C.A.R. Vice President and Chief Economist Leslie
        Appleton-Young will present C.A.R.'s 2004 Housing Market Forecast.
