Cascade Natural Gas Corporation Announces Dividend 

    SEATTLE, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was issued today by
W. Brian Matsuyama, Chairman, President and CEO of Cascade Natural Gas
Corporation (NYSE: CGC):

     The Board of Directors of Cascade Natural Gas Corporation declared the
regular quarterly Common Stock dividend at the rate of 24 cents ($0.24) per
share, payable in cash on November 15, 2001 to stockholders of record at the
close of business on October 15, 2001.
