Camden Property Trust Confirms Third Quarter 2001 Earnings Estimates And Updates 2001 Guidance

    HOUSTON, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Camden Property Trust (NYSE: CPT) today
announced that it expects to meet First Call consensus estimates of $0.95 per
diluted share for the third quarter of 2001.  The Company also provided
earnings estimates for 2001 of $3.74 to $3.76 per diluted share.  Current
First Call estimates for Camden's 2001 earnings range from $3.72 to $3.78 per
diluted share.
    The Company will release its third quarter earnings on Thursday,
November 8, 2001 after the market closes, and host a conference call the
following morning, Friday, November 9, 2001, to discuss those results and its
outlook for future performance.  Management intends to provide guidance for
2002 earnings estimates at that time.
    Camden Property Trust is a real estate company engaged in the ownership,
development, acquisition, management and disposition of multifamily apartment
communities.  Camden owns interests in and operates 145 properties containing
51,673 apartment homes in the Sunbelt and Midwestern markets from Florida to
