Kelly, Jenna, Gervase and Rudy Reprise Scenes from 'Three's Company' During
Network's Series Launch of the Emmy Award-Winning Sitcom
NEW YORK, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Grab your roommates and head to the Regal
Beagle for a week-long celebration of Nick at Nite's newest tenant ...
"Three's Company." To celebrate, the network has reunited Kelly, Jenna,
Gervase and Rudy, of CBS' "Survivor" to act out scenes from "Three's Company."
The cast of "Nick at Nite's 'Three's Company' Marathon," which airs Sunday,
October 15 through Thursday, October 19 from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. ET/PT,
will include: Gervase as Jack Tripper (John Ritter); Jenna as Chrissy Snow
(Suzanne Somers); Kelly as Janet Wood (Joyce DeWitt); and Rudy as Mr. Furley
(Don Knotts).
This Emmy Award-winning series, which remained a top-ten show through its
seven-year run from 1977-84 -- will make its return to national primetime
after the week-long marathon, beginning Monday, October 23rd airing at 11:00
and 11:30 p.m. ET/PT Mondays through Thursdays on Nick at Nite.
"'Three's Company' was a predecessor to so many shows such as 'Friends,'
'Hanging with Mr. Cooper' and even 'The Real World,'" explains Jim Burns,
Senior Vice President of Nick at Nite Programming and Brand Creative. "This
was a break-through show for its time and will continue to appeal to new
generations of fans."
Based on the British series, "Man About the House," this comedy revolves
around the lives of three roommates: Janet Wood (Joyce DeWitt), a young,
single woman who works as a florist; Chrissy Snow (Suzanne Somers), a bubbly,
blonde typist; and Jack Tripper (John Ritter), a klutz studying to be a chef.
At first, their landlords -- Stanley (Norman Fell) and Helen (Audra Lindley)
Roper -- are against the threesome sharing their apartment until Jack tricks
them into thinking he's gay. Also residing in their Santa Monica complex are:
Larry Dallas (Richard Kline) -- a not-so-swinging bachelor who hangs out at
the Regal Beagle Pub with Jack and the gang -- and Lana Shields (Ann
Wedgeworth), an overly-friendly neighbor with a passion for Jack.
Later in the series, The Ropers spun-off and received their own show while
Mr. Ralph Furley (Don Knotts) took over as owner of the not-so-swinging
singles' apartments. Cindy Snow (Jenille Harrison), Chrissy's cousin, moved
in with Jack and Janet when Chrissy's room became available and later, Terri
Alden (Priscilla Barnes) became Jack and Janet's third roommate. Other
characters that occasionally made appearances were Mike the Regal Beagle
bartender (Brad Blaisdell) and Frank Angelino (Jordan Charney), Jack's boss at
Angelino's Restaurant.
