| Michael J. Bush Joins Ross Stores Board of Directors |
NEWARK, Calif., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROST) announced today that Michael J. Bush, age 40, has been elected to its Board of Directors. Mr. Bush is President and Chief Executive Officer of Bally, North America Inc., a manufacturer and retailer of luxury footwear, accessories and apparel. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Bally International AG. From 1995 to 2000, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Movado, Inc., a designer, manufacturer, distributor and retailer of Movado, Concord, ESQ and Coach watches worldwide. Prior to Movado, he was Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Marketing at Ross Stores from 1991 to 1995. Mr. Bush began his career at Bain & Co. in 1985 and served as a Senior Consultant prior to leaving in 1991.
