HOUSTON, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Seven Seas Petroleum Inc. (Amex: SEV)
announced today that it has commenced the drilling of the Tres Pasos 16-E
exploration well to test the Cimarrona formation on the west-side of the
Guaduas Oil Field structure. The Cimarrona formation is the producing zone of
the Guaduas Oil Field. The Tres Pasos 16-E well is being drilled from a
surface location about 5 kilometers northwest of the El Segundo 1-E discovery
well and is expected to reach a total measured depth of approximately
6,700 feet. Seven Seas' partners in the Guaduas Oil Field, Sipetrol S.A. and
Cimarrona L.L.C., are both participating in the well.
