             Additional Suite Modules Enable LaserNet to Enhance
               Customers' Personalized Communications Programs

    LANHAM, Md., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Group 1 Software
(Nasdaq: GSOF) today announced that LaserNet, Inc. of Green Bay, Wisconsin, an
outsourced document management provider and long-time DOC1 customer, has
licensed significant additional modules of the DOC1 suite.  By offering DOC1's
Web presentment, archiving, and electronic payment solutions in conjunction
with DOC1's core document composition engine, LaserNet will now be able to
provide its customers complete control of the document lifecycle.  LaserNet
provides a wide variety of outsourced document management services, including
laser printing, mail processing, document imaging and design, e-billing and
fulfillment.
