Agreement Will Provide Camden Residents Computer Purchase Discounts
HOUSTON, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Camden Property Trust (NYSE: CPT)
announced today that it has entered into a nationwide marketing alliance with
Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ). Upon implementation, Camden
residents will be able to purchase Compaq computers and equipment at
discounted prices. This unique arrangement provides an additional amenity for
Camden residents while providing Compaq with a direct marketing link for
selling computers and equipment within Camden's broadly diversified portfolio
of 159 communities in 18 cities in 9 states.
Camden residents will be able to purchase computer products under a
specifically designed program from Compaq. Camden intends to transition the
computer equipment in its various resident business centers and offices to
Compaq equipment under the program as well. "Combining Camden's marketing
network and expertise with Compaq's outstanding product reputation should be
beneficial to both Houston-based companies and provide a nice service for our
residents as well," said Keith Oden, President and Chief Operating Officer of
Camden.
