Huntington Visual Lockbox Offers State-Of-The-Art Business Services and Instant Access

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Huntington National
Bank announces a solution for businesses that delivers instant Internet access
to lockbox payment data, making real-time information a reality. The new
Huntington Visual Lockbox service provides companies with instant access to
electronic images of current-day payment information. This enhancement to the
traditional wholesale lockbox service provides businesses with electronic
images of checks, remittance documents and other deposit information the same
day deposits are made.
"Our new approach to lockbox services will provide our customers with
instant access to the information they need to accelerate the business
collections process," said Carol Degnen, manager, Trade & Treasury Management.
"It's our goal to serve our customers not only as bankers, but as business
partners, and Huntington Visual Lockbox is an important part of those
efforts."
Huntington Visual Lockbox re-engineers the business process and provides
users in different locations with the ability to access information from one,
centralized source. In addition, with Huntington Visual Lockbox, businesses
can update internal payment records instantaneously with an "event
notification" feature that notifies the business of deposits or transactions
in real-time via e-mail, fax, pager and the lockbox Internet site.
Payment images and data are available through a secure Internet channel.
They are also provided through a CD-ROM that simplifies archiving and stores
more than 20,000 images, without a software investment for the business owner.
Numerous efficiencies are created by real-time online information for
businesses:
     - Increases Efficiency -- With the ability to access images immediately,
this system allows multiple users within the company to have current
information about customers and their payments. The images and data are
maintained online for 60 calendar days and are available on CD-ROM for
       archival purposes.
     - Expedites Postings -- The accounts receivable system may be updated in
       a real-time environment.
     - Improves Customer Relations -- Immediate access to information about
payments received allows shipments to be made on a timely basis and
late fees to be minimized. Shipping products and improved delivery
services are possible as soon as payments are received.
     - Redeploys Resources -- Minimizing manual filing and streamlining
research with online image access increases productivity.

This enhanced offering is a part of the many Trade & Treasury Management
products and services offered by Huntington, including a full suite of
Internet Banking services, Positive Pay, and unique services like Centralized
Returns.
