LOS ANGELES, Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The California Association of
REALTORS(R) Leadership Team for 2004 is now in place. Ann Pettijohn is the
Association's 2004 president, Jim Hamilton is president-elect, Colleen
Badagliacco is treasurer and Joel Singer is state secretary.
The officers for 2004 began their official terms at the close of the
National Association of REALTORS(R) Conference and Expo in San Francisco
Nov. 10.
Ann Pettijohn is a broker/owner of Oaktree, REALTORS(R) in Orange County.
She has been a REALTOR(R) since 1972, a broker since 1975, and in 1986 was
named REALTOR(R) of the Year for the East Orange County Association of
REALTORS(R). She has chaired several NAR committees, including the
Legislative, Political Affairs, Housing Needs and Issues Mobilization
committees. At C.A.R., Pettijohn has chaired the Legislative, Political
Affairs and Federal Issues committees, and also has served as either
chairperson or trustee of several political action committees. In her
community, she has served as president of a guild for the Children's Hospital
of Orange County and as a director of the Orange YWCA and Pilgrim Family
Therapy.
Jim Hamilton manages RE/MAX Execs in Redondo Beach, and has been
recognized as Manager of the Year by RE/MAX of California & Hawaii. He is a
past president of the South Bay Association of REALTORS(R) and has served on
numerous C.A.R. committees, including the Legislative, Strategic Planning and
Finance, and Real Estate Finance committees as well as the E-Commerce Task
Force. For NAR, Hamilton has served on several committees, including the
Business Issues, Conventional Finance and Commercial Finance committees.
Colleen Badagliacco is a partner with RE/MAX Valley Properties, with six
offices in the Silicon Valley. She has been a REALTOR(R) since 1978, a broker
since 1981 and was named REALTOR(R) of the Year by the San Jose Real Estate
Board in 1991. She is a member of the Santa Clara County Association of
REALTORS(R), where she served as president in 1992. Badagliacco has been an
NAR director since 1994 and a C.A.R. director since 1985, where she most
recently served as chairman of the Federal Issues Committee. She and husband
Dennis Badagliacco were RE/MAX of California and Hawaii Broker/Owners of the
Year in 1999. In addition to her community work, Badagliacco enjoys
gardening, travel, playing piano, and spending time with her son, daughter and
two granddaughters.
C.A.R. Executive Vice President Joel Singer has held the Association's top
staff position since November 1989 after serving as C.A.R.'s chief economist
and heading the Association's public affairs department. Singer was
instrumental in developing Real Estate Business Services Inc. (REBS), C.A.R.'s
for-profit subsidiary, and serves as its president. He also is president and
chief executive officer of RE FormsNet and president of the Senior Advantage
Real Estate Council. Singer joined C.A.R. in 1978.
