Pfister joins Investment Banking team
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Huntington Bancshares
Incorporated (Nasdaq: HBAN) recently announced the appointment of C. Thomas
Pfister as municipal finance director in Investment Banking with its Capital
Markets Group. The latest move is another indication of the progress
Huntington Capital Corporation is making since the re-focus on the area began
in 2001. Compared to last year, Huntington's Capital Markets group has seen
double-digit revenue growth.
"We believe that the services the Capital Markets Group provides within
Huntington Capital Corporation offer an opportunity for us to better serve the
needs of Huntington customers," said Michael McMennamin, Huntington CFO and
HCC president. "We really re-established our focus on this business with the
formation of the Capital Markets Group in 2001, and then expanded our
offerings with investment banking area earlier this year. We are pleased to

Led by Boyd Crall and David Fumi, the investment Banking group is
responsible for taxable and tax-exempt financings with a focus on 501(c)(3)
corporations, airports, solid waste facilities, health care, real estate and
manufacturing companies. Projects are financed through tax-exempt industrial
development bonds, credit-enhanced taxable floating rate option notes, and
traditional municipal finance.
Pfister will team up with Huntington's existing municipal trading and
underwriting function managed by Tim McCabe to expand investment banking
activities for state agencies, local governments, school districts and higher
education institutions.
Pfister brings nearly 20 years of investment banking experience. Most
recently he served as investment banking director for Banc One Capital
Markets, Inc. where he managed investment banking activities for a variety of
agencies throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, West Virginia and
Wisconsin.
