Wade Nichols Promoted to Chief Administrative Officer of Revlon, Inc.

                  Robert Kretzman Appointed General Counsel
                     Vice Chairman Irwin Engelman Retires

    NEW YORK, Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Revlon, Inc. (NYSE: REV) announced today
that Wade "Chip" Nichols was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief
Administrative Officer of Revlon, Inc., effective January 1, 2000.
Mr. Nichols is currently Executive Vice President and General Counsel at the
global cosmetics company.  Mr. Irwin Engelman, currently Vice Chairman and
Chief Administrative Officer, and a Director of Revlon, Inc., will retire at
the end of this year.
    As Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Nichols' responsibilities will be
expanded to include Human Resources, Licensing and Corporate Communications,
in addition to his current responsibilities for the Legal and Security
departments.
    Taking on Mr. Nichols role as General Counsel on January 1, 2000 will be
Robert Kretzman, currently Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel,
Revlon, Inc.

legal organization but has contributed on a much broader range of issues as
well," said Jeffery M. Nugent, Revlon President and Chief Executive Officer.

skills beyond his proven skills as chief counsel."
    Mr. Nichols, 56, joined Revlon in 1978 as Senior Counsel, becoming
Corporate Secretary the following year and rising to become Senior Vice
President and General Counsel in 1992.  Mr. Nichols was promoted to the
position he has today in 1998.  Mr. Nichols lives in New York City, and earned
his B.A. degree in English Literature from Yale College and his LL.B. from
Columbia Law School.

He has proven himself here as a consummate legal professional and a solid
business partner as well," added Mr. Nugent.
    Mr. Kretzman, 48, joined Revlon in 1988 as Senior Counsel.  In 1990, he
was elected Vice President and Secretary, Revlon, Inc., rising to his current
position in 1996.  Mr. Kretzman lives in Stamford, Connecticut, and earned his
B.A. degree from St. John's University and his LL.B. degree from St. John's
University Law School.
    Mr. Engelman joined Revlon in November, 1998 from MacAndrews & Forbes
Holdings Inc., the majority shareholder of Revlon, Inc., where he served as
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 1992.
Mr. Engelman, 64, lives in New York City and Westport, Connecticut.
