COLUMBIA, Md., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cosmetic Center, Inc.
(Nasdaq: COSC) today announced the appointment of Dwight W. Crawley to the
position of Chief Financial Officer. Crawley is a senior financial management
executive with extensive experience at consumer-oriented companies. He will
report to I. Howard Diener, President and Chief Executive Officer of The
Cosmetic Center.

Mr. Crawley most recently served as Controller and Secretary of Harris
Teeter, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based $2 billion supermarket chain. He
previously was Assistant Controller and Secretary of Harris Teeter, and prior
to that, worked in the Financial Consulting and Audit Division at Arthur
Andersen & Co.
