Prestigious Industry Event Will Provide Insight on Leveraging Enterprise
Architecture as a Catalyst for Business Transformation
SAN FRANCISCO, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Open Group, a vendor- and
technology-neutral consortium focused on open standards and global
interoperability within and between enterprises, today announced that its
12th Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference will be held in Paris
on April 23-25, 3007 at the Hilton Paris. Through case studies, practical
sessions and peer-to-peer discussions, the event will explore the evolution
of Enterprise Architecture (EA) and its role in helping global
organizations achieve a competitive advantage.
The Open Group's Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference
series provides valuable insight into best practices, standards, tools and
technologies for EA, and serves as a venue for practicing enterprise
architects to come together and share their experiences. Following on the
heels of the incredibly successful San Diego Practitioners Conference and
the launch of the Association of Open Group Enterprise Architects (AOGEA)
in January, the Paris event will focus on how EA can be used as a catalyst
to drive business transformation.
The event already boasts a stellar lineup of plenary speakers,
including Jean Francois Caenen, CTO, Capgemini France; Christophe Longepe,
EA director, Societe Generale; Jean-Luc Lucas, managing director of Service
Platforms, France Telecom; Bruno Menard, CIO, Sanofi Aventis; Ron Tolido,
CTO Northern Europe Asia Pacific, Capgemini; and Franck Lopez, Global
Director, Enterprise Architects Field Services, Global Strategic
Initiatives, SAP. In addition, Telelogic and Oslo Software have signed on
as sponsors of the event.
"Enterprise Architecture has evolved significantly over the past few
years into something that can truly transform business," said Allen Brown,
president and CEO, The Open Group. "Our goal at The Open Group's upcoming
Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference in Paris is to explore how
architects can align EA with business goals to have a profound impact
across their organizations and create tremendous competitive advantage."
The three-day event will cover how Enterprise Transformation can be
attained by more effectively aligning business goals and IT architecture
through innovative uses of Information Systems Architecture and EA. In
addition, the agenda includes tracks on Service-Oriented Architectures,
Enterprise Architecture Management, TOGAF(TM), Secure Enterprise
Architecture, IT Architecture Certification and Professional Development,
Enterprise Architecture and Business Value Realization, Adaptive Business
Solutions and Semantic Interoperability.
