4KIDS AND TELETOON PARTNER TO BRING CHAOTIC TO CANADA WITH TRADING CARD
LAUNCH TO FOLLOW IN MAY
NEW YORK, March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Chaotic, the new animated series
from 4Kids Entertainment that introduces kids to the next generation of
trading card and online game play, will debut in Canada on March 16 with a
special sneak peek on TELETOON at 5:30 pm. On March 18, the show officially
joins the TELETOON lineup every Sunday at 8:30 am.
In the show, two teenage boys, Tom and Kazdan, discover a portal to the
secret world of Chaotic while playing the Chaotic trading card game. The
boys realize that the one-of-a-kind alphanumeric codes on their trading
cards are actually scans of these living creatures, much like super-charged
DNA. When the boys are challenged to a battle, they are transformed into
the creatures whose scans they have captured. By watching the animated
series, viewers can discover battle strategies that will ultimately help
them master the Chaotic trading card game for both online and offline play.
"We're excited to partner with TELETOON and introduce the world of
Chaotic to kids in Canada," said Alfred R. Kahn, Chairman and CEO, 4Kids
Entertainment. "The TV show is already generating excitement for kids in
the U.S. who can't wait for the trading card game and website to launch,"
he said.
"Chaotic is an exciting, unpredictable, action-packed adventure that we
know TELETOON viewers are going to dive right into," said Carole Bonneau,
Vice-President Programming, TELETOON Canada. "We're thrilled to have
Chaotic premiere on our network."
Starting May 16, kids will be able to purchase starter decks of either
UnderWorld or OverWorld Chaotic trading cards at comic and hobby stores in
the U.S. and in Canada from TC Digital Games LLC, an affiliate of 4Kids
Entertainment. Each card has its own alphanumeric code and power structure
that not only ensures that virtually no two cards are alike, but also
enables kids to upload their personal collection of Chaotic trading cards
to play the game and trade online at no additional cost. The companion
website, http://www.chaoticgame.com, will also go live on May 16.
