RENO, Nev., March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Rust Bullet(R), a one-step product
that coats over rusty or clean metal to control corrosion without the need for
special surface preparation, has received two patents from the United States
Patent Office on its two new technologies. This is the first time the U.S.
Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued two patents on one
rust/corrosion-control product.

"According to the USPTO, your two technologies are new and unique," writes
patent attorney Barbara J. Luther. "The USPTO was impressed by both your
real-life results and your independent scientific laboratory results. The
first patent covers a method and composition for protecting rusty surfaces
from corrosion. The second patent covers methods of protecting surfaces,
either on land or at sea."
Rust Bullet(R) was originally invented by a Los Angeles inventor to
protect U.S. Air Force jet wingtips from abrasion during flight. Phenomenal
results for rust and corrosion control have been achieved after years of
refinement. Rust Bullet, LLC was granted the exclusive rights to the product
and tested Rust Bullet(R) extensively before bringing it to the coatings
market. The results have been impressive.
"According to extensive independent scientific testing, Rust Bullet(R) is
the most effective, longest lasting, and easiest to use rust/corrosion-control
product on the market," said Bob Murphy, a founder and the late President/CEO
of Rust Bullet(R). "Rust Bullet(R) has outperformed all known active
ingredients contained in all other rust control products." Rust Bullet(R)
backs its claims with a challenge to its competitors to prove otherwise in
comparative testing: "The loser pays all testing costs, and the winner is free
to use the test results in their advertising." So far, there have been no
takers in almost two years.
When Rust Bullet(R) is applied on corroded metal, it does not form a film
immediately; first it penetrates to the original metal surface and then
combines the rust and coating. It is guaranteed to last 10 years. If the
finished surface becomes chipped, rust will not spread and a simple touch up
will reseal the chip, providing fast, easy, low-cost maintenance.
Rust Bullet(R) can be brushed, rolled, or sprayed over clean or rusted
metal. Rust Bullet(R) requires little or no preparation and no topcoat is
necessary. Rust Bullet(R) contains no zinc, no chromates, no acids, no heavy
metals, and complies with Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) limits regulated by
the Environmental Protection Agency and the more stringent regulations of the
state of California.
