The 7-, 8- and 10-inch photo frames feature stylish, interchangeable
bezels -- including wood, black and silver, or black and white -- allowing

All of the frames are a snap to set up with this standard, easy to use,
menu system. Additionally they come standard with 256MB of internal memory,
which enables the rotation of nearly 4,000 photos and ensures users do not
have to leave any of their favorite photos in hiding. Photos can be
uploaded to the frames through a USB cable, directly from a thumb drive or
with the camera's memory card. The 7-, 8- and 10-inch models come equipped
with a built-in battery that provides freedom to display digital photos
anywhere in the home or office without wire clutter.
ViewSonic's first 10-inch wide screen digital photo frame, the DPX1002,
supports a variety of formats -- JPEG and BMP for photos; Motion JPEG,
MPEG1 and MPEG4 for video; and MP3 for music -- to create a platform ideal
to display all types of memories. The DPX1002 boasts an industry-leading
1024x600 resolution, 400 cd/m2 adjustable brightness and 400:1 contrast
ratio (typ) to provide the highest image quality. The DPX1002 brings the
added functionality of a calendar, alarm clock, multi-language option and
remote control -- perfect for a bedside table.
The 4:3 traditional 8-inch DPX802WD, DPX802WD-BW and DPX802BSL-BW
showcase brilliant photos with a high 800X600 resolution, 250 brightness
and 500:1 contrast ratio (typ). Slideshows are easily created and
personalized with a built-in speaker to play MP3 audio files, an
easy-to-use on-screen menu and numerous photo transition options.
The widescreen 7-inch DPX702BSL-BW, DPX702WD-BW and DPX702WD bring
photos to life with an 800x480 resolution, 220 cd/m2 adjustable brightness
and a 400:1 contrast ratio (typ). The digital photo frames can display JPEG
or BMP files and offer multiple slideshow options including speed, effect,
language and rotation adjustments, allowing users to not only customize the
look of the frame, but also their slideshow.
For those consumers who would like a more traditional digital photo
frame, ViewSonic is also launching the 7-inch widescreen DPX704WH, 8-inch
4:3 DPX804WH and 10-inch widescreen DPX1004WH. The three photo frames
include a sleek white finish, 128MB of internal memory and compatibility
with multiple video, audio and photo formats. For additional functionality,
the photo frames also include an alarm, clock and calendar features.
The frames are currently available with estimated street prices of $139
for the 7-inch, $149 for the 8-inch and 10-inch models starting at $179.
