AIRLINE: EXCESS BAGGAGE
A Limited Series of Six Half-Hour Episodes Launching Monday, May 24th in the
AIRLINE Timeslot - 10pm ET/PT and 9pm CT
NEW YORK, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- During the soaring first season of A&E
Network's hit series AIRLINE, viewers were exposed to all kinds of real life
stories -- from in front of and behind the counters of Southwest Airlines
(NYSE: LUV). Beginning Monday, May 24, you'll want to fasten your seatbelts
for the stories behind the stories, with the World Premiere of six special
episodes of AIRLINE: EXCESS BAGGAGE, airing at 10:00pm ET/PT and 9pm CT.
AIRLINE currently airs Mondays at 10 & 10:30pm ET/PT. The second season of
AIRLINE will premiere this summer on A&E.
AIRLINE: EXCESS BAGGAGE offers our Southwest Airlines characters (Mike,
Yolanda, Vi, Colleen, Steve, Susie, Denise and others) a chance to tell their
side of what happened during Season One as well as introduce never-before-seen
footage of some of the more intriguing storylines. AIRLINE's most popular
stories ranged from the awe-inspiring (Mike helping an elderly passenger with
Alzheimer's) to the hair-raising (Colleen and team dealing with the multi-
state power outage), to the flat-out hilarious (who can forget Val and the man
dressed as a Tiger for no apparent reason?).
AIRLINE: EXCESS BAGGAGE will also give viewers a chance to get to know
the familiar faces of Southwest Airlines better -- on the job and off! Of
course, our characters are more than just agents, supervisors and managers --
Colleen is a hard-working mom of four, and Steve Ramirez is a secret salsa
king on the dance floor! We'll take them out of the airport and into their
personal lives to find out more about the men and women behind the uniforms.
