Company Operates Contract in New Indiana Facility
BELTSVILLE, Md., May 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- InfoSpherix
Incorporated has won a 4-year contract worth about $4.4 million to continue
operating the central reservation system for Indiana State Parks. Indiana
Governor Mitch Daniels and Department of Natural Resources Director Kyle
Hupfer announced the new contract late last week.
The Company had successfully completed its first 4-year contract and
won the competitive re-bid based on technology, performance, and value.
InfoSpherix has won each of the re-bids of its original state park
reservations contracts, and has won eight of the 11 procurements it has
competed in since entering this market in 2000, making it the industry's
most successful vendor.
InfoSpherix recently moved the Indiana State Parks program to its new
facility in Carmel, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. The new facility
serves as InfoSpherix's Midwestern hub, and will host this and several
other reservation projects for government park systems.
InfoSpherix implemented Indiana's first multi-channel, real-time
reservation system for campers in 2002, giving Indiana one of the country's
most advanced, affordable e-government solutions for state parks, paid for
through user fees. Since then, InfoSpherix has processed nearly 700,000
reservations through a toll-free call center, website, and field stations
at the parks.
InfoSpherix operates park reservation contracts for 12 states, three
counties, and the National Park Service at its facilities in Maryland,
Indiana, and South Dakota. The Company also operates several
non-reservations contact center projects for federal and state government
agencies.
