* Trends & Emerging Challenges;
* New Technology & Equipment; and
* Justifying Equipment Costs
HUDSON, N.H., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Presstek, Inc. (Nasdaq:
PRST) a leading provider of environmentally responsible direct imaging
solutions for the graphic arts and laser imaging markets, announces "Get
Smart. Print Smart." fall business development seminars for print business
owners and managers.
The free seminars, being held in key U.S. cities beginning in October,
will feature industry experts Dr. Joe Webb, Vince Naselli, Tom Crouser, and
Stephen Sanker. The seminars, designed to demonstrate to attendees ways to
renew their business and build profits, will feature Presstek's panel of
experts, which will cover a range of topics including industry trends, new
technology and equipment, new thinking about equipment cost justification, and
how to capitalize on changes in the marketplace.
The seminars will provide high-level information and discussion focused on
the following topics:
Industry Trends
Experts Webb and Naselli have created a CEO-level review of trends, issues
and emerging challenges exclusively for seminar participants in this session.
The session, which will be presented by either Naselli or Webb, will share a
no-nonsense, practical and strategic perspective on the critical changes that
are transforming long-assumed "rules" of management in the graphic arts
industry. According to Naselli, "What's needed for economic success in this
new, emerging marketplace may surprise you."
Dollars and Sense
Crouser will guide participants through equipment cost justification
factors and illustrate how printers can make the most from new equipment
investments. Attendees will learn how to use payback analysis to help make
equipment decisions and identify and examine phantom benefits, easily
forgotten costs such as hard wiring expenses, and downside risk. Says Crouser,
"Some of the most common thinking about cost justification is right on the
money. But much of it is way off, and I'm here to clarify the variables and
arm printers with the knowledge they need to assess potential investments."
New Technology and Equipment
Sanker, Presstek's North American Marketing Director of DI Press Products
will discuss the solutions that are available today to help printers
profitably meet market requirements. Sanker says, "Attendees will learn how
solutions such as today's DI presses can make their businesses more responsive
and competitive in a market that demands high-quality, short-run, four-color
print on demand." Sanker adds, "These new solutions provide printers an
opportunity to be more competitive and profitable, while making it possible to
extend the range of work they can produce."
The "Get Smart. Print Smart." seminars sponsored by Presstek will be held
from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, in the following venues: (Additional dates and
