CLEVELAND, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Do you think you've got what it takes
to own and operate one of America's premier franchises? Inspired by their
franchisees to celebrate entrepreneurship, Mr. Handyman and FranNet, the
world's largest network of franchise consultants, are embarking on a
nationwide search for the person who best fits the criteria to own and operate
a Mr. Handyman franchise. Mr. Handyman is one of several companies operated
by Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Service Brands International (SBI), the parent
company of Molly Maid Inc., the residential cleaning service.
The winner will join more than 135 existing Mr. Handyman franchisees
operating 400 vans in North America and will be chosen by an evaluation of
responses to FranNet's industry-leading confidential questionnaire that has
earned them the nickname of the "franchise matchmaker" in the industry.
Southern California entrepreneur Howard Bassuk founded FranNet (Franchise
Network Group) in 1987 to facilitate successful matches between aspiring
entrepreneurs and franchise companies.
"We are known in the franchise industry as the company that provides the
best-quality candidates for franchise systems," said Bassuk. Since 1987,
thousands of people looking for the right franchise have contacted the
networks' 90 associates located around the country.
"The territory fee of $30,000 will be waived for this candidate," said
Todd Recknagel, president of Mr. Handyman. "However, the candidate still must
meet the minimum financial requirements (found on the website) and pay the
$9,900 franchise fee for training, documentation, and a grand opening kit,
along with $9,500 for our Dell computer software package. He or she must also
possess enough working capital to operate the awarded franchise. But for the
right person, this is a dream come true."
Contestants will be directed to a confidential questionnaire through a
special web site -- http://www.givemeafranchise.com -- designated specifically
for the giveaway. The site will also explain the specifics of the contest in
much greater detail, along with a link to mrhandyman.com and frannet.com to
learn much more about those companies and the opportunities.
