today introduced Newton Series(R) II speaker systems and new additions to
its Newton Series HD flat panel speaker line, ideal for use with flat panel
TVs. The Newton Series II line includes thirteen models that combine
high-quality sound and high-end style, attractively priced as low as
$349.99. The Newton Series HD line of flat panel speakers now includes
satellite speakers for only $399.99 in a new midnight black satin paint
finish, for flat panel TVs as small as 26 inches.

Further Refinement of an Award-Winning Speaker Line
The Newton Series II line introduces the addition of aluminum dome
tweeters, which provide similar timbre to the original Newton Series but
are capable of superior resolution and accuracy. Low and mid-frequency
drivers have also been improved. New front-mounted ports on bookshelf and
select center channel speakers enable these models to be easily hung on the
wall or built into any custom cabinet design.
Newton Series II solid wood cabinets are fabricated with a choice of a
midnight black satin paint finish or genuine cherry wood veneer with solid
hardwood edge bolsters and a durable polypropylene top coat. The compact
satellite and surround speakers are enclosed in heavily braced composite
enclosures with sensuous curves that reduce standing waves and virtually
eliminate coloration from cabinet vibrations.
Newton Series II speakers include satellites, surround speakers, center
channels and powered subwoofers. The line also includes a new
floor-standing speaker with a combination of great looks, superb sound, and
a profound deep bass capability. Ideal for the apartment or dorm room with
limited space, two new high-performance bookshelf systems are also
available.
In addition to the new Newton Series MC630HD, the Newton Series HD line
includes the MC650HD for mounting next to flat panel TVs 40 inches and
larger. Both speakers can be matched with the Newton Series P300HD powered
subwoofer which features a "boxer" style design that virtually eliminates
vibrations, the principal cause of distortion in subwoofers. All are
available in a stunning midnight black satin finish.
