SEATTLE, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Jott Networks today announced the
ability to create Google(TM) Calendar appointments while away from the PC
-- using one's voice. Jott.com's free voice-to-text service will link users
directly to Google Calendar after a simple set up. Users may also elect to
receive an SMS confirming the calendar entry.
Jott Networks CEO, John Pollard, commented, "Having the freedom to make
Google Calendar entries with any cell phone is what Jott's all about-making
it simple to get more done. Our customers told us they wanted this
functionality, and we're delivering. We believe anyone who uses Google
Calendar should take advantage of being able to post appointments --
completely hands-free -- from anywhere."
When prompted "Who do you want to Jott?" the user will simply say,
"Google Calendar," and then speak their appointment information. For
example, the user would say, "Meeting with Erin at 9 a.m. November 16th,"
and the notation will automatically be transcribed and posted to Google
Calendar with the correct date and time.
Pollard added, "Google Calendar complements all of the great things
people are already doing with Jott. Whether creating Jott reminders about
an upcoming to-do, or capturing ideas for holiday gifts, people are using
Jott to get more done every day." He added, "Our customers literally tell
us that Jott is 'life-changing.'"
