'Video Game Awards 2004' Pre-Show Premieres

NEW YORK, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Multiple "Video Game Awards 2004" nominee
(Need for Speed: Underground 2), actress, covergirl and host Brooke Burke will
telecast LIVE from the red carpet at Spike TV "Video Game Awards 2004" pre-
show festivities on Tuesday, December 14 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET). The pre-show
immediately precedes the LIVE presentation of Spike TV's "Video Game Awards
2004" hosted by Snoop Dogg from 9:00-11:00 p.m., ET.
It's been an amazing year for videogames. As Spike TV "Video Game Awards"
prepares to honor the best games of 2004, Brooke Burke will offer viewers a
behind-the-scenes look at the awards show itself including a preview of the
night's main event and major award categories as well as interviews with the
show's presenters, musical performers, and celebrity guests. Spike TV will
also take a look ahead to games in 2005, featuring some of the hottest
upcoming video game titles.
Brooke Burke is recognized worldwide as the tour guide and adrenaline
junkie on E! Entertainment Television's travel series "Wild On" and pop
culture countdown series "Rank." Brooke has a starring role in EA Games'
"Need for Speed: Underground 2" in which she plays "Rachel Teller," a street-
wise adrenaline junkie who runs an elite, underground street racing circuit.
Her performance is rewarded with a Spike TV "Video Game Award 2004" nomination
in the "Best Performance by a Human - Female" as well as the "Hottest Video
Vixen" category. Brooke has also lent her voice to Atari's Trivial Pursuit
Unhinged video game as the celebrity host of its "People and Places" category.
Brooke recently completed acting roles in the upcoming independent features
"The Hazing" and "Knuckle Sandwich" and has guest-starred on such television
series "Less Than Perfect," "The Bernie Mac Show," "Eve" and "Monk."
Spike TV's "Video Game Awards 2004" hosted by hip-hop impresario and avid
gamer Snoop Dogg, celebrates the best in video gamedom while taking a look to
2005 and beyond. Awards will be handed out in 24 categories including "Game
of the Year," "Best Sports Game," "Hottest Video Vixen," "Best Driving Game,"
"Best Song" and "Best Soundtrack," "Designer of the Year," "Most Addictive
Game" and "Best Graphics," among others. Performers for this year's awards
include Snoop Dogg with Pharell, SUM 41 and Ludacris. The awards will
telecast LIVE on Spike TV on Tuesday, December 14 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET) from
Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.
