V7's 22-inch Wide Display Gives Home and Office Users Value and Performance
SANTA ANA, Calif., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- With a focus on the value
market in large, wide-format LCD desktop displays, V7 today launched its
first 22-inch wide-format LCD monitor for the North American market.
The new V7 R22W02, exclusively available through technology distributor
Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), is introduced in time to allow retailers and
business users to prepare for the worldwide launch of the Vista operating
system, which supports the 16:9 aspect ratio display format. The 22-inch
wide LCD display is the perfect solution for various applications like
desktop publishing, Web design and other common business and high-end home
computing uses.
With functions typically found on premium monitors, the wide-format
R22W02 offers a high value-to-features ratio, including a vivid 16.7
million colors, 16:9 screen size, long panel life (40,000 hours), on-screen
controls and super-sharp resolution. Part of the V7 family of products, the
R22W02 is manufactured to the same standards as high-end monitors from
name-brand manufacturers. It is the largest wide display available for
under $349.
"Retailers and VARs alike will be attracted to V7's value-priced
wide-format monitor," said Rainer Kozlik, vice president, general manager,
Private Label worldwide. "The R22W02 addresses a key market in that it
gives the cost-conscious end-users access to high-end features today and
prepares them for future technologies."
This high-definition display is Vista OS-compliant and compatible with
the software's leading-edge wide-format capabilities. Consumers and
business users will be ready to leverage the new OS graphics features
immediately, as well as enjoy broadband-delivered content in brilliant,
bright colors.
Last January, V7 introduced its 17-inch wide-format monitor to the
North America market. Now, with its 19-inch wide-format, V7 extends its
presence in the 16:9 monitor space.
V7 representatives will be present during the CES event in Las Vegas
and will be hosting private product demonstrations at the Aladdin Hotel.
The R22W02 is available for order today from Ingram Micro, the world's
