Advocates to Debut Caucus Campaign for Energy Policies That Balance Demand for Electricity with Protection of the Environment, at Jefferson-Jackson Dinner

         * JEFFERSON-JACKSON DINNER, SATURDAY, NOV. 10, 6:30 P.M. *
   Campaign Focuses on Coal's Vital Role in Nation's Energy Mix; Includes
          Decorated Van to Appear at Presidential Events Statewide

    DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ --

    WHAT: Americans for Balanced Energy Choices (ABEC) kicks off its public
            campaign urging Iowa caucus-goers to challenge Presidential
            candidates to invest in clean coal technology and support coal as
            part of a sensible and affordable energy mix.

            ABEC will be traveling statewide in an American-made, decorated
            van powered by Flex Fuel as a grassroots, visible reminder to
            candidates and policymakers of the importance of coal. ABEC will
            debut the van and have an information booth at the Iowa Democratic
            Party Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner at Veterans Memorial Auditorium
            in Des Moines.

            Nearly 78% of electricity in Iowa is coal generated. Coal is
            abundant, clean, and affordable. The van will serve as a source of
            information for Iowans about clean coal technology and the
            affordability of coal as an energy source.

            A photo of the van can be sent via Email. Send request to:
