Epson's New CX9475Fax Provides Increased Productivity and Efficiency in
Small Office and Multi-User Home Environments
LONG BEACH, Calif., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Epson America Inc. today
announced the Epson Stylus(R) CX9475Fax ink jet all-in-one, designed to
print, scan and share files over a wired or wireless network from virtually
anywhere in the office or home.(1) Network connectivity and installation is
seamless with Epson's InstaNet technology that offers an intelligent,
automated network installer that is easy to use.
"Many people shy away from integrating networked solutions into their
home or office environments because the configuration process can be
complicated and overwhelming," said R. Craig Allen, product manager,
Consumer Ink Jet Printers, Epson. "With the Stylus CX9475Fax, Epson
delivers a solution that not only provides a range of printing and scanning
capabilities, but also enables consumers to print via a wireless or
Ethernet network in minutes."
Epson's exclusive InstaNet technology enables Windows-based users to
easily connect to a wireless network through a streamlined, automated
configuration with absolute ease. By integrating the printer and print
server installation applications, InstaNet allows for a flawless setup of
wireless and Ethernet connection within multi-user settings.
The Epson CX9475Fax is ideal for SOHO users and families, as well as
novice digital camera owners who occasionally want to print borderless
photos on photo paper. The all-in-one offers printing, copying, scanning,
and high-speed black-and-white or color faxing, as well as the ability to
print photos with or without a computer, using the 2.5-inch tilt LCD. In
addition, it achieves fast speeds, producing both black and color text
documents at up to 32 ppm, and copies up to 30 cpm.(2)
The Epson CX9475Fax delivers the same Epson innovation and technologies
as the Epson Stylus CX9400Fax, including:
-- Advanced DX3(TM) MicroPiezo(R) print head technology: Epson's unique
print head technology features smart nozzles that can each produce and
precisely place three sizes of ink droplets. As a result, fewer nozzles
are needed to quickly create superior documents and photos.
-- DURABrite(R) Ultra ink: This all-pigment, instant drying ink produces
laser-quality text and brilliant color images on plain and photo paper,
and is smudge and water resistant so documents and photos can be shared
immediately. The inks are even highlighter resistant on plain paper,
and offer fade resistance up to six times longer than leading
competitive prints.(3)
-- Individual ink cartridges and one standard set: The Epson CX9475Fax
uses individual ink cartridges, allowing consumers to only replace the
color needed. Additionally, with one standard ink set for both
documents and photos, there is no need to swap out cartridges based on
what is being printed.
-- Automatic Document Feeder (ADF): A built-in, 30-page ADF enables users
to fax, copy and scan stacks of important color or black-and-white
documents in seconds for additional versatility.
-- Fax features: Ideal for busy executives, this all-in-one offers
high-speed color fax (33.6 Kbps), a 60-number speed dial, up to 100
pages of memory, automatic redial, auto answer, and usage reports.
-- Auto Photo Correction with advanced face detection(4): This innovative
technology corrects the lighting in poorly exposed images to produce
perfect prints. It also includes advanced face detection, which
automatically distinguishes people from scenery, correcting the color
accordingly to ensure beautiful, natural skin tones.
-- High-speed, multipurpose card slots: Compatible with all popular memory
types, easily print brilliant photos without a computer or transfer
files to and from a computer using these slots.
-- PictBridge(R) interface: Printing directly from a digital camera is
easy with this interface.
-- BorderFree(R) photo printing: While optimized for everyday printing,
the Epson CX9475Fax supports BorderFree photo printing sizes, including
3.5"x 5", 4"x 6", 5"x 7", 8"x 10", and letter sizes, with no
perforations or edges to trim.
-- Epson Easy Photo Fix(R): Restore old faded color photos back to their
original brilliance with just one click with Easy Photo Fix scanning
technology. This software, coupled with the all-in-one hardware, makes
it easy to scan, restore, print, and share old memories.
