Rockie Lynne Lends Talent to Benefit CD for Bridge Collapse Victims

MINNEAPOLIS, March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Country star Rockie Lynne has
contributed the leadoff track to a new compilation CD that raises money for
the survivors and families of victims of last year's I-35W Bridge collapse
disaster in Minneapolis. The compilation was just released to retail
outlets nationwide.

Lynne, a longtime Minnesota resident, wrote, recorded and co-produced
"The Chance To Say Goodbye" specifically for the project, put together by
pro audio equipment manufacturer Electro-Voice (EV) and its parent company,
Robert Bosch North America LLC.

The three-CD compilation, featuring a diverse array of national
artists, is titled "Musicians for Minneapolis: 57 Songs for the I-35W
Bridge Disaster Relief Effort" and is currently available at retail
locations. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the Minnesota Helps
Bridge Disaster Fund. Other artists on the project include Los Lobos, Stray
Cats, Jim Lauderdale, Steve Vai, Bobby Bare Jr., Pete Anderson and Jason &
The Scorchers. The eclectic CD encompasses multiple genres of music
including country, folk, modern rock, metal, blues, Americana, jazz, funk,
hip-hop, R&B, and reggae.

Explaining his participation in the project, Lynne says, "Every time
you see a tragedy on TV you think 'Oh my gosh, those poor people.' But when
it's in your backyard there's a whole different feel to it. I was
completely moved by the whole thing, and proud to be a part of the benefit
CD."

Rockie Lynne records for the independent label Robbins Nashville. His
new single, "I Can't Believe It's Me," is currently climbing the charts.

He first made a name for himself when he released his critically
acclaimed debut CD on Universal Records in 2006. Lynne was named a
"breakout artist" by ABC-TV's "Good Morning America" and Billboard magazine
named him their artist "Most Likely To Succeed." He has made countless
media appearances, including performances on GMA's "Summer Concert Series,"
CMT, GAC, Fox News and more than a dozen appearances on the Grand Ole Opry.
