CHANDLER, Ariz., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- MESA International, the
Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association, is introducing its
successful Plant-to-Enterprise Conference in Europe, 7-8 November, at the
Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
The new MESA 2007 European Plant-to-Enterprise Conference offers an
opportunity for MES/plant-wide information systems beginners and experts to
learn proven ways to lower manufacturing risk, drive productivity, increase
agility and improve quality with innovative technologies. Prominent
manufacturers and industry experts will share their experience with
strategic initiatives, application of standards and practical cases in
various sessions. Additionally, the conference will provide a networking
platform to exchange visions, trends and experience across the industries.
"Actual trends like shorter product life cycles, globalization of the
market, expanding regulations and increasing price pressure are influencing
the policy of industrial companies strongly," said Jan Snoeij, Principal
MES Consultant with LogicaCMG and Chair of the MESA 2007 European
Conference. "In order to take up the challenge of the market and the supply
chain successfully, production may not be a black box any more.
Transparency and visibility are essential for optimizing production and
other business processes. Integration of the plant and the enterprise are
key for success."
This first European MESA Conference will bring practical value to the
mission statement of MESA, which states that the industry association
promotes the exchange of best-practices, strategies and innovation in
managing manufacturing operations, manufacturing quality and in achieving
plant-floor execution excellence.
"Clearly the issues manufacturers and producers encounter every day are
universal," Snoeij noted. "As MESA has been bringing together hundreds of
industry leaders each year at the North American conference, we are
enthusiastic about building on this success in Europe and addressing these
challenges here."
Additionally, the continued commitment from increasing end user
membership levels and MESA's Keystone Sponsors, including GE Fanuc, IBM,
Microsoft, MPDV, Rockwell Automation, SAP, Siemens, and Wonderware, have
driven the success of the Plant-to-Enterprise conference series. MESA is
very pleased to bring the P2E event to Europe with the support of LogicaCMG
as the Premiere Sponsor.
Matt Bauer of Rockwell Automation, MESA International Chairman, said,
"Our members' passion for manufacturing excellence is reflected by the
surge of interest that is fueling our growth outside of North America,
especially Europe, but also the Middle East, and now Australia and China."
