SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Motorola, Inc.
(NYSE: MOT) today announced the immediate availability of Good Mobile
Messaging 5. The new release advances the award-winning Good Mobile
Messaging software and helps make mobile email more personalized and
productive while enhancing IT control.
Good Mobile Messaging 5 (Good 5) vastly improves the mobile email
experience both for business users and IT professionals by helping mobile
users get things done more easily, providing greater personalization, and
strengthening security and manageability. The new release also incorporates
all of the security capabilities previously available separately though the
company's Good Mobile Defense product.
Good 5 provides a very flexible mobile messaging platform, supporting
multiple mobile operating systems and providing robust IT controls without
sacrificing user wants and needs.
Get Things Done More Easily. Good 5 introduces innovative email and PIM

-- Access SMS, MMS and personal email from the Good Home Screen

Have a More Personalized Experience. Being productive on a smartphone

desktop or laptop. Good 5 enables the personalization of the mobile
experience with the following new features:
-- Mobile RSS reader and subscription manager
     -- Customizable priority mail
     -- Personalized notifications
Have More IT Control. Even with greater usability and personalization,
IT doesn't have to sacrifice control or security. Good 5 provides more
control by giving IT professionals all of the advanced capabilities
previously available through the Good Mobile Defense product. Features
include:
     -- Enforce mandatory applications
-- Lockdown WiFi, Bluetooth(R), Infrared, camera and SD card
     -- Advanced password management
     -- Advanced encryption management
     -- Simplified load balancing
"When it comes to mobile email, business professionals have grown
accustomed to giving up usability for the sake of security, while IT has
struggled to maintain control over the growing number of device features
and applications users introduce," said Sue Forbes, Senior Director Product
Management and Marketing, Motorola Good Technology Group. "With Good 5,
we're putting an end to all compromises by giving enterprises the ideal
balance of usability and personalization with even more robust IT
