WALTHAM, Mass., July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Terra Lycos (Nasdaq: TRLY), the

The Lycos 50(TM) Top 10 Search Terms for the Week Ending July 10, 2004:
     1) Paris Hilton 6) Pamela Anderson
     2) Clay Aiken 7) Poker
     3) KaZaA 8) Spider-Man 2
     4) Britney Spears 9) Neopets
     5) Cameron Diaz 10) Maria Sharapova

    Notes of Interest:
Cameron Diaz (#5), one of Hollywood's highest paid leading ladies, is now
starring in a soft-core S&M video that was shot when Diaz was a 19-year-old
model. The bondage film recently surfaced on a Russian Web site, despite
efforts by Diaz to prevent any release of photos or video from the 1992 film.
For the past year, Diaz has allegedly been battling the cameraman who shot the
30-minute film trying to block its release. But as word got out that the film
was available on the Internet, Web users scrambled to find it, sending Diaz
searches sky rocking this week.

    New Kids in Town:
Maria Sharapova (#10), the 17-year-old Russian tennis beauty who dethroned
top seed and two-time defending Wimbledon champion Serena Williams, continues
her run as the new tennis diva with Web users, generating four times more
search activity than Anna Kournikova (#49). Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo
(#39) enters this week's list for the first time ever as the hottest new
soccer star, surpassing David Beckham in search popularity. Young soccer fans
have found a new heartthrob in Beckham's so-called successor, Cristiano
Ronaldo, who is being heralded as one of the world's most exciting young
soccer players. Last week, search activity for Ronaldo increased by 454
percent, when The Lycos 50 predicted him as "one to watch."
Ronaldo is the most expensive teenager to sign a contract with a pro-
soccer team, the famed Manchester United for $22 million over two years.
