IGT to Unveil 150 New Gaming Machine Themes at Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas
    RENO, Nev., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IGT has announced that it
will showcase a total of 150 new gaming machine themes at the Global Gaming
Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas.  The annual trade show for new casino products will
happen Sept. 16-18 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
    "This is the biggest lineup of games IGT has ever offered at a casino
industry trade show -- more than twice as many as we displayed at G2E last
year," said Ed Rogich, IGT's vice president of marketing.  "Our booth theme
this year is 'Spotlight 2003,' and we'll have the new games color-coded, so
attendees can determine which themes will be available by December (green), by
the first six months of 2004 (yellow), and after July 2004 (red)."
    The "Spotlight 2003" booth will consist of distinct product preview areas:
MegaJackpots(TM) machines including games utilizing IGT's new AVP(TM)
platform, standard slots and video slots, Premium Series slots and poker
games, EZ Pay(TM) and IGS(TM) systems, the Reel Touch(TM) machine series, and
the PTTV(TM) player tracking panel.
    Heading the list of IGT machines will be two new video slot versions of
Diamond Cinema(R), both with a Frank Sinatra(TM) theme.  Record Wheel and Gift
Wheel both feature a top-box bonus wheel and will be released as
MegaJackpots(TM) games.
    Other game titles under the MegaJackpots(TM) banner will include
Dilbert(TM), Austin Powers In Goldmember(TM), The Dating Game(TM), The
Newlywed Game(TM), Wheel of Fortune(R) Triple Action(TM) on IGT's AVP
(Advanced Video Platform), Rodney Dangerfield's Reel Respect(TM) with Rodney
Dangerfield(TM), The Twilight Zone(TM), Young Frankenstein(TM), American
Graffiti(TM), a new version of the Marilyn Monroe(TM) game, Silver Strike(TM),
The Beverly Hillbillies(TM), Regis' Money Mixer(TM) starring Regis Philbin,
and two new versions of the I Love Lucy(R) machine -- Lucy in Hollywood(TM)
and Lucy's Grapestomping(TM).
    The lengthy list of "for purchase" machines will include That Girl(TM),
Hexbreaker(TM), Benny Big Game(TM), Ghost Island(TM), Monster Mansion(TM),
It's A Blast(TM), Used Cars(TM), Wild Taxi(TM), Bucks Ahoy(TM), Diamond
Stars(TM) and Triple Lucky 7s(TM).
    IGT's Premium Series collection will feature Terminator(TM), the SPAM(TM)
video slot, 18 Reeler Cash Convoy(TM), Bunco Night(TM), Double Triple Diamond
Deluxe with Cheese(TM), Beetle Bailey's(TM) Roll for Rank(TM), and Multi
Strike Poker(TM).
    "We have an incredible array of new products to show off -- not just in
sheer numbers, but also in terms of the strength of the themes and the
innovative features our game designers are building into them," said Joe
Kaminkow, vice president of game design for IGT.
    There will be 22 new Action Gaming video poker games from IGT, among them
5 Aces Poker(TM), Double Down Stud Poker(TM), four new versions of Spin &
Hold(TM), Bonus Hand Triple Play Poker(TM), and Hold 'Em Challenge(TM).
    Additional machines recently licensed by IGT and being previewed at the
show include Star Wars(TM), Elizabeth Taylor(TM), Drew Carey, Laverne &
Shirley(TM), Gilligan's Island(TM) and Animal House(TM).
    IGT's Reel Touch Series bridges the gap between slots and video games,
with a touchscreen in the machine's top box and an optional EZ Touch
selectable multi denomination panel.  Another new technology enhancement is
the IGT Progressive Controller (IPC), which adds flexibility to progressive
machines by arranging different progressive jackpots for selected groups of
machines.  With the IPC, a casino can configure and operate up to
32 progressive levels on a bank of up to 63 local IGT slots, video slots, or
video poker machines.
    The new PromoPAK option for EZ Pay(TM) and IGS(TM) systems allows casino
marketers to control, report and evaluate promotional credits to attract new
players and reward valuable customers.  Promotional tickets can be created and
distributed for a special casino function or hand-delivered on the casino
floor.  They are either redeemable for cash or can be used as play-only
credits on Advanced Funds Transfer (AFDT)-ready machines.
    As a module of the IGS(TM) casino management suite, the PTTV(TM) panel
provides a versatile tool for determining a player's club membership status, a
player's comp balance and promo card usage, and current level of play.  Its
LCD feature can display MPEG movies, customized graphics, animations, and
customer-directed messages.
    IGT's booth at G2E will feature celebrity appearances by four cast members
of Gilligan's Island(TM): Bob Denver, Dawn Wells, Russell Johnson and Tina
Louise; Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams, the stars of Laverne and
Shirley(TM); cartoonist Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert(TM); Gary Burghoff,
who played 'Radar' on the M*A*S*H(TM) TV series; Jim Lange, host of The Dating
Game(TM); Barbara Eden, the star of I Dream of Jeannie(TM); Max Baer, Jr., who
played Jethro Bodine on The Beverly Hillbillies(TM); and Dick Clark, the host
of American Bandstand(R), who will appear with a new version of Dick Clark's
New Year's Rockin' Eve(R) on the AVP platform.
