Trump sleeper-phenom production, "The Apprentice," went out with the kind of
stunning ratings, juicy gossip and reality fanfare that has left the public

The first, loosely-scripted show featured 16 hand-picked contestants vying

oversee the construction of the Trump International Hotel and Tower building
in Chicago.
As for the fate of mega real-estate developer Trump, four Emmy nominations
in a first try are certainly enough to guarantee him future fun opportunities
to fire squadrons of novice tycoons.
The second intriguing season of "The Apprentice," beginning September 9
and running about 19 weeks, will feature 18 hopefuls, male and female, ranging
in age from 23 to 37. From most walks of life, they include street-wise and
swarthy marketing directors, to ivy-league lawyers and venture capitalists.
They are all photogenic, which will not hurt ratings either. To maintain the
viewer interest factor, Trump will weekly point his index finger at his latest
victim and, wearing a mock triumphant scowl, pronounce, "You're fired."
