In 1975, fewer than 5% of the banks in California even offered small business loans. Driven by the goal to fill this void, a group of business leaders in San Diego County formed Bank of Commerce. The Bank's mission then is its legacy today - to make a dramatic contribution as a business bank to help small-to-medium-sized companies succeed.
Over the past 22 years, Bank of Commerce has achieved this objective,
setting records for loans made to small businesses. Equally as important, the Bank's directors, management and staff have assumed leadership roles in the community to initiate and ensure that local economic progress, growth and redevelopment occurs.
After 22 years of service, Bank of Commerce's mission for the future remains clear - to provide the highest level of banking excellence, to remain
committed to the goodwill of the community and to be the leading small business bank in America.
