About U.S. Plastic Lumber
U.S. Plastic Lumber Corp. ("USPL") is today the acknowledged leading factor in what is becoming one of the nation's most exciting emerging industries: the manufacture of plastic lumber and related products made entirely from recycled materials-everything from beverage containers to factory waste. Importantly, these lumber products, sold nationally, have all of the favorable characteristics of wood without such problems as rot or the need for annual maintenance.
The essence of the Company's business is the recycling and reuse of waste materials in a creative manner that produces both environmental and commercial value.
In the case of plastic lumber, of course, the Company has given considerable commercial value to what was once considered valueless. In its environmental services and remediation business, it has helped to solve an environmental problem that has plagued part of our nation's landscape.

With regard to plastic lumber, what is especially exciting is the wide range of uses being found for this "wonder" material. At home, the family deck made from plastic lumber literally will last a lifetime with absolutely minimal care and yet, still has the charm and attractiveness of wood. Plastic lumber can be found at the water's edge in marinas or as boardwalks, in backyards as decks, picnic tables and/or fences and now even as railroad ties.
The Company's second business line involves the decontamination and recycling of soil, the decontamination and dismantling of industrial facilities, on-site treatment, the capping and closure of landfills and the development of beneficial reuse of industrial wastes such as dredge materials.
Of special interest is the Company's assignment in the dredging of New York Harbor. Such dredge wastes are being combined with other wastes to form a concrete-like substance and then, under exclusive permit from the State of Pennsylvania, deposited in abandoned strip coal mines to be used as landfill.
The growth of the Company, which has been exceptional, will continue to be achieved through a combination of internal expansion, particularly in plastic lumber where the demand is growing dramatically, and acquisition of other companies whose special niche augments existing businesses.
While USPL's major business interests are quite different from one another, the contribution of each to the corporate whole will enable the Company to continue to achieve a high rate of growth and meaningfully increase shareholder value.
